Memorable Moments:
I think that one of the most thought provoking projects was the social awareness project. This project made me think about how so many people go through terrible things, from drug addiction to plane crashes. The part of the project that required you to keep a journal of what happened in the news helped me think about how some people around the world have to fight for their lives. Some have to fight physically but some also have to fight themselves mentally. That project made me see more clearly how different people have different problems.
The other memorable lesson was when we looked at the different artworks that had to do with social awareness. The photograph of the Twin Towers collapsing was very powerful. You can clearly see that the towers are coming down but you can also see the American flag still waving. The other photograph that was interesting was the picture of the photographer that was put into prison for taking pictures. The photograph showed that different countries have different concepts of what is right or wrong.
